Long tailed tit at Stover Park
At the age of 8 my interest in photography began with my first images taken with a Kodak Box Brownie.

As I got older my interest continued.... my brother had a Zorki 4K and this opened my eyes to the photographic possibilties with this type of camera.

My first SLR was a Zenith EMF2 and although heavy to carry around it gave me some really excellent results.

My husband and I used to walk on Dartmoor every weekend. We belonged to the Dartmoor Letterboxers 100 club. I always took a camera with me ( the Zenith SLR ) and took thousands of photos over the years, on both negative and slide film. At that time I was lucky enough to work for a large photo processing laboratory where we could have one film a week developed free of charge!!!

When my son came along being 'mum' became my main priority

My first modern SLR was a Canon EOS 300 film camera. I loved it and this renewed my love of photography.

Several Years ago I decided to join a Photographic club... to meet like minded people...and to learn from more experienced photographers. I would like to thank every one at Newton Abbot Photographic Club for the help and inspiration they have given me.

See 'Links' for website address.

My first Digital camera was a Canon 300D which gave some good results. I have since upgraded to a Canon 40D then a 5D, and more recently a 1DX.

Through these pages I would like to thank my long suffering husband Chris for his support .
I've lost count of the times he has helped me change a lens, look for a lost lens cap or help me carry heavy equipment.
